Monthly Minutes:

January 2008 

Meeting Called to Order 9:30 a.m. 

President Pat Alessi introduced guest speaker Ralph Walsh, along with Kim Clifford and Ken Berube of Walsh & Associates.  The company has been operating for 25 years with a current clientele of 24 Town/Cities utilizing their Admins software.  Some Towns/Cities include Darien, Salem, Wilton, and Milford.  The presentation was a demonstration of their windows software with Real Estate, Motor Vehicle, and Homeowners’ Program. 

Secretary’s Report – Motion to waive the minutes. All in favor, none opposed. Motion passes. 

Treasurer’s Report – Motion to waive the minutes.  All in favor, none opposed.  Motion passes. 

Committee Reports – CCMA Committee member, Gloria, stated the Revaluation Course had its trial run in November.  The instructors were Steve Juda and Roger Palmer.  The course will be forwarded to the State for approval and ready for 2009. 

Old Business – Our deepest sympathies to Mike Fazio, for the loss of his Brother Jim who was an appraiser at Total Valuation Services working on revaluation. 

New Business – Ann Marie, Bethel Assessor, would like to have an in-depth meeting covering Personal Property in regards to audits of small businesses and step-by-step filling out of the declaration form.  The following towns/cities have volunteered to sponsor a meeting at their town hall – Bethel and Trumbull.
