Dear C.A.A.O. Members:
It doesn’t seem possible that summer has passed us by already, and yet here it is mid-October. Several of our county associations hosted picnics during July and August; I was able to attend New Haven County’s. Butch Fronte’s hospitality at his beach home, combined with excellent food, great weather, and water activities courtesy of Paul Friia and Doug Kidd all made for a fun filled day. I’ve been told that even though the weather didn’t cooperate for Fairfield County, everyone had a great time; excellent food, and fun despite the clouds and cool temps. I’ve also heard that Hartford County had a good turnout, and a great time. It’s events like these that provide us with much needed stress relief, and also a way to keep in touch with our counterparts in other towns.
Good news and bad news…. We may have our supplemental lists by the end of the month. It’s nice to get them this early, but in the midst of Personal Property, last minute field work, and all of the other deadline issues we must shuffle, the supp list is just one more thing!
The Annual Fall meeting will be coming up on November 8th, and I’d like to encourage all members to attend. It’s a wonderful time to reconnect with friends and colleagues, and a great way to catch up on the latest information from our various committees. We have numerous awards to give out, and certifications to present. It’s always a fun and informative day. Those of you who don’t receive your NADA guides from your County MV rep can pick them up at the meeting along with a paper insert/update for the membership book. I hope to see you there!
